Despite a slow start on Monday afternoon following the first event of TSSAA Class A-AA State Pentathlon at Middle Tennessee State University, two Lady Trojans finished in the top eight in the state in the event. Trojan soccer season ends with substate loss to Mustangs

The Dyersburg soccer team's run through the postseason came to a close on Saturday night as the Trojans fell to Madison Academic 4-0 in substate action at J.C. Sawyers Stadium. "On any other night, this could have very easily turned the other way," Dyersburg head coach Greg Stapleton said. "We know. We played with this team before. This was a quality team. County health dept. begins new anti-tobacco campaign

A billboard with the message "Children prefer the non-smoking section - keep your car smoke free," has popped up along Forrest Street and Highway 51. The billboard, which is sponsored by the Dyer County Health Department, targets individuals who are exposed to secondhand smoke or participate in smoking cigarettes. The image on the billboard shows an empty car seat surrounded by smoke. It also provides a telephone number for community members to call the Tennessee Tobacco Quit-line...
