Local young readers were treated to some very special visitors on Monday afternoon at the Newbern City Library as the library celebrated Superhero Day with a visit from Wolverine, Batman, Robin and Wonder Woman as well as other characters from comic books and science fiction.

City School Board recognizes student successes, OKs cafeteria budget

The Dyersburg School Board met last week for its monthly meeting to discuss student successes and approve consent items. After an approval of last month's meeting minutes, a cafeteria budget of $2,035,000 was approved for the 2015-16 school year.
