Complaints against Newbern Police chief exposed

The five complaints accusing Newbern Police Chief Doug Robertson of causing a "hostile work environment" have been obtained by the State Gazette. Robertson, who was appointed chief of police in May 2014, was suspended with pay for two weeks on Tuesday. The suspension marks the second time in two months that Robertson has faced disciplinary actions following employee complaints.
