Norma Cox, 71, a resident of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 9, 2015, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon. Memorial services will be conducted at a later time. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Dec. 26, 1943 in Linden, Tenn. to the late Woodrow Wilson and Julia Janie Marshaleane (Stephens) Hensley. McIver's Grant to hold book sale

Members of the Friends of McIver's Grant Public Library organization prepare for the group's semi-annual book sale. The event, offering used books, baked goods and handmade items created by Dianne Donner, will take place Thursday, Sept. 17-Saturday, Sept. 19 at the library. Sale hours are 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 and from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19. Newbern City Library to expand after purchase of new building

Just 12 years after nearly doubling its size, the Newbern City Library is ready to grow and expand again, as the city recently purchased a new building for the facility to use. The new facility at 130 East Main St., just down the street from the library's current location, will increase the library's size from about 6,000 square feet to nearly 8,000 square feet when the library moves there next year...
