Dyersburg senior Aloysius White (fifth from left) was named the 2015 Dyersburg Football Homecoming Queen on Friday night during festivities before the Trojans game with McNairy Central. Taylor, Simmons honored

Dyersburg track standouts Banita Simmons (left) and Myah Taylor (right) were honored for their state championships this past spring during a ceremony before Friday night's homecoming game. Taylor won her third straight Class A-AA high jump title in May while Simmons claimed her first state title in the long jump. The two were given jackets commemorating their state title wins.

Authorities confiscate 1.8 grams of crystal meth from Newbern residence
