Janice Cook Butler Ernest, 62, died on November 10, 2015, at her home in Millington, Tennessee, after a courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, on December 11, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Boyd Cook and Rebecca Foster Cook. She graduated from Dyersburg High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis. Seven selected to play in West Tennessee All-Star Game

Seven local players from Dyersburg and Dyer County high schools were selected to play in the annual SportsPlus West Tennessee All-Star Game at Liberty High School in Jackson on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. The Dyersburg Trojans, who ended their season in the opening round of the Class 3A playoffs, had four players selected to the team. New pavement laid on Finley Hwy 104 curve to reduce accidents
