Retired Sergeant Major Marshall Hugo Reddin, 80, of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He retired from the U.S. Army. The family will have a memorial visitation at a later date. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sandra Reddin of Dyersburg; a daughter, Victoria Reddin and fiancée, Michael Hollinsworth, of Santa Fe; two sons, Bennett "Bennie" Reddin and wife, Janis, of Chino Hills, CA and Timothy Allen Reddin and wife, Debbie, of Huntsville, TX; a brother, Hollis Emmette Reddin and wife, Elaine, of Rives; and four grandchildren, Heidi Reddin and Jessica Reddin, both of Huntsville, TX and Hana Reddin and Angelina Reddin, both of Chino Hills, CA.. ...

The day that hundreds of local children have been waiting for finally arrived, as crowds flocked into the Three Oaks Middle School gymnasium to attend the Chimes for Charity Christmas party, hosted by Jaycees. Annual financial report poses many questions for Dyer County officials

The Division of County Audit has recently released the Annual Financial Report of Dyer County for the year ending June 30, 2015. Upon completion of the audit there were several infractions to the Office of Mayor that were reported including a report on debt obligation that was not put on file with the state comptroller's office in a timely manner, and compensation that was paid in-lieu-of insurance benefits to some employees...

Edward Jones office donates $1,000 to Union Mission

The Edward Jones office of John Cloar presented Neal Chatham of the Dyersburg/Dyer County New Life Union Mission a check for $1,000 Tuesday, Dec. 22 in honor of their clients. Cloar said, 'We are glad we are able to do this in honor of our many clients and help such a great organization during this holiday season.'
