As cold, wintery weather moved into the area on Saturday night, the Dyersburg boys heated up the Terry Glover Gymnasium, nearly doubling their halftime lead before the game was called with just over three minutes left with the Trojans on top 67-36 over the Tide to give spectators a chance to leave before conditions outside worsened.

Election Commission readies for March presidential primary

Dyer County Election Commission Administrator Anita Fowlkes wants voters to be prepared for the upcoming primary elections for the state of Tennessee. Fowlkes said: "The deadline to register to vote in the March 1 Presidential Preference Primary is Feb. 1, which is 30 days before the election, according to Tennessee law."
