Children create patriotic wall art at library
(Local News ~ 07/05/16)
Early Friday afternoon, McIver's Grant Public Library proudly displayed its patriotic side through a red, white, and blue art exhibit created by 74 local children participating in the Summer Reading Program. The exhibit will be featured at the library until July 29. 'I love doing patriotic crafts with our Kids Zone children. Doing the July Art Wall is such fun and the kids really get a kick out of being our community's featured artists. Their art was a part of a great day for our Summer Reading Program. We had a wonderful time with the Jackson Generals. The children were able to meet Sarge, learn about being healthy, and create art that celebrates both our country and our community,' said McIver Children and Youth Director Vanessa Cain.
