Preseason slate looks to have one lesson in mind

Northview, Three Oaks end week with 7-on-7 action

Thursday evening was a night full of football for Choctaw fans of all levels. While the high school team practiced on their field adjacent to Choctaw Stadium, the two feeder schools - along with Union City and Haywood - met in 7-on-7 action to bring an end to a week of practice for the county's two middle school teams. Three Oaks opens its season on Aug. 11 when the Choctaws host Obion County while Northview will open on the road at Bemis on Aug. 16.

Choctaws, Trojans prepare for scrimmages

Week 1 of the Tennessee high school football season is rapidly approaching and both the Dyersburg Trojans and Dyer County Choctaws are getting their preseason workouts in which will culminate on Friday with the opening scrimmages for both squads.

Highlands promotes recycling for local Humane Society

The Dyer County Humane Society is always needing used newspapers for their kennels. As a way of recycling at The Highlands, old newspapers were saved up to shred for their litter boxes or any other needs that they might have. Shown here is a family member J.C. DSCC introduces new 'Return to Learn' adult scholarship

DSCC promotes Hardy to director of financial aid

Hardy replaces predecessor Sandra Rockett who retired earlier this year after 47 dedicated years to the college.
