Brook Regen, assistant vice president at First Citizens National Bank is among the 44 graduates of the 2016 Southeastern School of Banking held at Belmont University in Nashville. The Southeastern School of Banking, organized by the Tennessee Bankers Association and considered one of the best intermediate-banking schools in the nation, is an intensive one-week course dedicated to developing the analytical skills and management techniques of bankers, from high-ranking executives to junior and middle managers.. ...

Junior Market Hog Show

On Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Livestock Arena, the Dyer County Junior Market Hog Show took place at 9 a.m. The show was held at the Livestock Arena. Throughout the day goats and lambs were also shown. According to Dyer County Fair Board President Sandy Baker, there were approximately 100-150 Dyersburg and Dyer County young people who showed animals.

Kids Day at the Fair

The Dyer County Fair hosted Kids Day on Friday, Sept. 9. With both city and county schools not in session, the fair was the place to be. Hundreds of students, parents, and chaperones enjoyed rides, midway games, petting zoo, and food.
