Poole named WorkFirst TN Partner of the Year

Dot Foods climbs to 65th on Forbes List of America's Largest Private Companies

Dyersburg is home to a company recognized among Forbes' List of America's Largest Private Companies for 2016. Dot Foods Inc., the nation's first and largest food industry redistributor, has climbed to No.65 on the list, a three-spot leap from its No.68 ranking in 2015 and a significant 95 spot climb from the company's initial No.160 ranking in 2006. Dyer County Coon Hunters Club donates $500 to Community Cancer Fund

The Dyer County Coon Hunters Club presented Debbie Harris, the director of the Community Cancer Fund, with a donation in the amount of $500 on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Members of the club selected Community Cancer Fund as their charity of choice, due its positive impact on the lives of Dyer County residents undergoing the battle against cancer. Trojans take top spot, Lady Trojans place second at Westview cross country meet

The Dyersburg cross country team had a successful day at Westview on Thursday as both teams finished at or near the top of the standings in the field. The Trojan runners claimed first place overall with the Lady Trojans placing second. In addition four DHS runners finished as medalists during the race. Medalists include Sarah Emery (seventh) and Hannah Jackson (12th) in the girls race and Jacob Gill (seventh) and Cameron Buss (eighth) in boys competition). Dyersburg returns to the course on Tuesday when the Trojans and Lady Trojans travel to Troy for the Best of the West Cross Country Meet.

DCHS hosts first year of mock elections

In an effort to further educate students about the election process, Dyer County High School recently began mock elections, where students in all grades, including members of school faculty participated in 'voting' registration, a precursor to mock elections that will begin in the next few weeks.
