Dyersburg dominates Chargers despite early deficit; Pharaohs next in round two

For the second time since Week 7, the Trojans showed that a 10-point lead isn’t always safe around them. This time, Dyersburg did it in convincing fashion as – after falling behind 10-0 in the first six minutes of action on Friday night – the Trojans rolled the rest of the way, outscoring Covington by 32 points over the remainder of the three and a half quarters to take a 55-23 win over the Chargers on Friday night at J.C. Sawyers Stadium in the first round of the Class 3A State Playoffs.

Rick Hill Auto Credit ribbon cutting

On Thursday, Nov. 3 the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Rick Hill Auto Credit. Owner Rick Hill was surrounded by family, friends, staff, Chamber Diplomats, Chamber President and CEO Allen Hester and Mayor Chris Young for the ribbon cutting. Hester presented Hill with the Certificate of Recognition in honor of opening a second location for the rental car services and used car. There will be a Family Fun Day and Grand Opening at Rick Hill Auto Credit on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and everyone is invited. There will be a petting zoo presented by Rocking Dirt Road Farms, Ice Cream from Maggie Moos, food, drawings, games, and prizes for everyone to enjoy.
