DPD searching for rape suspects

On Dec. 8, 2016, around midnight, the Dyersburg Police Department responded to a residence in the Milltown area in reference to a forcible rape. Upon arrival, officers did assist a female victim that reported being raped while in her home. The investigation is ongoing but has revealed that two black male assailants did forcefully enter the residence of the victim and one of them did rape the victim while the other assisted in restraining her. ...

Criminal investigation into financial irregularities continues

The criminal investigation into financial irregularities at the Chimes for Charity organization, being conducted by the Dyersburg Police Department, continues according to DPD Chief Steve Isbell. The chief gave no timetable for the completion of the investigation, one that will include turning over the findings to District Attorney Phil Bivens.
