FirstCNB promotes WAT with ‘Bring Your Tennis Shoes to Work’ day

On Monday, March 6, First Citizens sponsored ‘Bring Your Tennis Shoes to Work’ day. This day is now the official beginning of 2017 Walk Across Tennessee. Employees were encouraged to bring their tennis shoes to work and take a 15-minute paid walking break at a convenient time during the day. Walking breaks were done in groups and individually.

Reelfoot Rural Ministries and community partners aid local residents in home repairs

Despite Monday morning’s wind and rain, volunteers of Northeast Indiana United Methodist Mission Team and Reelfoot Rural Ministries arrived at the home of Dyer County resident Cynthia Halliburton and her husband Charlie to make substantial repairs to the couple’s home including the replacement of eight windows and addition of a screen door.

DMS students attend state Capitol to speak on Holocaust remembrance

Monday afternoon, 8th-grade DMS students Jon Mark Castleman and Parker Townsend packed their bags and prepared themselves for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to present a formal speech at the state Capitol building for the annual Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony, held Tuesday, March 8.
