With recent rain, residents concerned with flooding

With the recent round of storms and the amount of rainfall that it brought to the area, there have been concerns of flooding, especially in the South Dyersburg area. More than $5,700 raised for girl suffering from leukemia

An Easter Egg Hunt Benefit fundraiser for 7-year-old Makahla Deason, sponsored by the City of Dyersburg and held on Saturday, April 1 at Okeena Park, raised a total of $5,721.55. Makahla was recently diagnosed with ALL leukemia and is currently undergoing treatments at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All proceeds from the fundraiser were given to the family to aid with expenses.
