While the Lady Choctaws may have lost the battle on Wednesday, falling to Brighton 2-1 in nine innings in their final District 13AAA contest in Newbern, when all the tiebreakers were sorted out during a pregame powwow between the coaches and administration of the two schools, Dyer County’s luck with coin tosses this week continued as the Lady Choctaws won the regular season district title as well as the top seed in Friday’s district tournament by winning the currency flip.
