Local intarsia artist displays art at McIver’s Grant

Roughly 13 years ago, after retiring from a 40-year career as an optician, local resident Jack Hatcher made his debut into the world in intarsia, a form of exotic wood laying where various species of wood are fitted together through specially made patters to form mosaic pictures. In 2016, Hatcher’s art caught much local attention after receiving ‘Best of Show’ in the Dyer County Fair.

Barlow leads DC to District 13AAA title
