Finley Post Office adds recycling receptacle

Recently, Finley Post Office became the first post office in Dyer County to go ‘green’, and has incorporated a recycling receptacle inside of its facility, located at 5496 Hwy. 104. The receptacle comes to the Finley Post Office courtesy of local non-profit Dyer County Recycles. Robert Briggs, who has been the postmaster of the office for the past 5 years, says he was happy to adopt a more environmentally friendly solution to mail disposal at the office.

Local man arrested for poss. of large amount of marijuana with intent to sell

The Dyersburg Police Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 1015 Tucker Street. Upon entry into the location, officers confronted the resident, Kendrick Kelly, 42, who was taken into custody. A search was then conducted that produced a large amount of marijuana in various locations in the residence along with a sizeable amount of currency.
