Street and sanitation committee meets with company to discuss landfill cell

On Thursday at 3 p.m., the City of Dyersburg Street and Sanitation Committee convened to hold a discussion with Coffey Construction concerning a cell at the city’s landfill. The meeting was held as a result of a discussion held on Monday, Aug. 28 – the previous meeting of the committee.

City receives $500,000 THDA grant

On Friday afternoon, the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) presented a $500,000 HOME grant to City of Dyersburg Mayor John Holden. The City of Dyersburg will use the funding to make repairs for local homeowners who cannot afford to bring their homes up to code. Dyer County Fair starts Monday

It’s that time of year again! Monday, Sept. 4, Labor Day, marks the continuation of a 70-year tradition, the Dyer County Fair. Amusements, fun, and events will occur throughout the week, capped off every night with a $1,000 cash drawing.
