With the Trojans’ loss at Crockett County comes the end of the 2017 football season here locally on a chilly November night. Though the last loss is literally just a couple hours old as I sit down to type out the weekly column, looking back at the season the Trojans just completed gives me plenty to look forward to when head coach Bart Stowe and the Dyersburg football team take the field again...

Trojans fall as Cavs’ ground game too much for DHS

Though Dyersburg matched hosting Crockett County blow for blow through the first dozen minutes of action on Friday night in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs, the final 36 minutes were heavily in the Cavaliers’ favor as the home team scored 34 unanswered points before a late Trojan touchdown made the final 47-20 in favor of Crockett County.
