No. 6 DC boys fall to UC, Lady Choctaws win No. 20

On the final night of the regular season, Dyer County basketball fans not only honored seniors on Friday night but were able to see a battle of state-ranked teams as Class AAA’s sixth-ranked Choctaws squared off with Union City as the Tornadoes – the No. 7 team in Class A – got a 27-point night from senior guard Matt McMillan to help the visiting team avenge Dyer County’s win from November with a 69-58 victory in Newbern.

Lady Trojans take second, boys dominate in sweep

It was a good night for the black and gold down in Alamo on Friday night as both Dyersburg teams came away with wins over Crockett County in the final game of the regular season as well as the District 13AA finale. In girls action, the Lady Trojans wrapped up second place in the district as well as an automatic berth in the Region 7AA Tournament with a 51-42 win over Crockett County...
