DHS junior Alley chosen for NY Times Summer Academy

Dyersburg High School junior Abbey Alley was recently selected to participate in the New York Times Summer Academy. From June 10-22, Alley will travel to New York and be a student a course titled ‘Theater in New York: Hamilton from Page to Stage’. The course will examine how ‘Hamilton: An American Musical’ has established itself as one of the most important works of theater of the 21st century.

Mrs. Mary Ann (Griffith) Alexander, 88, of Union City, passed away 4:16 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union City. A celebration of life service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Perry Grills; nephew of Mrs. Mary Ann, and Rev. Mike Deal will officiate.
