Wild pitch, error give Tribe 13AAA title in bottom of 11th

Though much of the scoring came early, it took over a game and a half worth of baseball to decide the regular season District 13AAA Championship on Wednesday night in Newbern as a wild pitch then a throwing error by the Brighton catcher allowed Dyer County backstop Zach Epperson to score the winning run and give the Choctaws a 4-3 win over the Cardinals.

DHS junior attends Youth Leadership Summit in Nashville

On March 12-14, Dyersburg High School junior Olivia Hayes was selected to attend the 2018 Electric Cooperative Youth Leadership Summit held in Nashville. Chaperoned by Forked Deer Electric Cooperative, Hayes not only met other juniors from across the state, but also learned the important contributions that electric cooperatives make to the state.

Budweiser Clydesdales to be at Discovery Park this Sunday

The Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Discovery Park of America. The Clydesdale horses will be at the park on Sunday, April 29, from 2-4 p.m., with parades scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Admission to park grounds is free, with $10 admission to the Discovery Center. Photos, food, and bounce houses will be available.
