Local district tournaments halted by lightning and rain

When rain and lightning moved into Dyer County around 8 p.m. Friday evening, both the District 13AA Softball Tournament as well as the District 13AAA Baseball Tournament were halted in the middle of the second game of the night at the respective sites.

Kustoff holds opioid roundtable discussion

On Thursday, May 3, Congressman David Kustoff held a roundtable discussion to discuss the growing opioid epidemic. The discussion occurred at The Mill Workspace in downtown Dyersburg and various representatives from local law enforcement, community leaders, and local pharmacists were in attendance.
