The number of Shelter residents ready for adoption is 35. There are others who are not counted because they have litters to tend. The Shelter has a lot of cats with kittens and dogs with puppies. These mamas cannot be adopted until their babies are weaned, and the babies need to be old enough, about 8 weeks, to survive on their own...

Two transported to hospital following accident on bypass

Shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Dyersburg Police responded to a 2 vehicle accident along Highway 51 Bypass near Indian Trace. The vehicles involved included a Ford Fusion, driven by Timothy Stachura, 42, of Newbern, and a Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Robert Bloomquist, 80, of Dyersburg.
