Immunizations help keep children healthy and learning in classroom

Demolition of Reelfoot visitors center comes at $700K cost to taxpayers

Construction was initially put on hold in early 2017, as an audit by the state comptroller’s office revealed the Mississippi River Corridor-Tennessee [MRCT] group (now dissolved) had failed to properly bid out the job, and awarded the project to an architect firm out of Memphis with a direct conflict of interest with MRCT.. ...

Five 9U Spartans selected for All-State Showcase

Mr. Paul Michael "Mike" Enochs, age 57, of Dyersburg, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at his residence in Dyersburg, Tn. He had given twenty-five years of service as an engineering technician at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Mike will be remembered by his family, friends, fellow employees and hospital grill team members for his love of cooking and competitions in the mid-south area. The sales tax holiday allows shoppers to purchase certain items tax free within the state, whether in store or online through Tennessee retailers, as long as the online orders are delivered in state.

County schools announce changes to registration schedule

Dyer County Schools will begin the 2018-19 school year on Friday, July 27. All Dyer County Elementary and Middle Schools will have registration, pick up schedules, and meet teachers from 8 a.m. until 11a.m. Parents are encouraged to attend with students.
