Team REED's ‘Coach T’ wins pro debut

After a decade of teaching and coaching the sport to up-and-coming boxers in the Dyersburg area, Team REED coach Terance Reed made the jump from coach to boxer over the week, winning his professional debut at Limelight in Nashville in three rounds.

Mrs. Christene Malinda Douglas Cummings, from Alsip Illinois, died July 27, 2018 at Palos Hospital in Palos Illinois. She was 85 years old and the widow of the late Bobby Cummings, of Dyersburg Tennessee, who died in 1970. She was born in Newbern, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Amanda Douglas. Mrs. Cummings retired from Carson Pirie Scott of Bedford, Illinois after 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alsip, Illinois...

2nd Annual Antique Tractor Show coming to Discovery Park

If you like tractors … old tractors, new tractors, unusual tractors or restored tractors … mark your calendar to attend the Second Annual Antique Tractor Show at Discovery Park of America on Saturday, Aug. 4. The Tractor Show will begin at 10 a.m., with a parade around the park scheduled for 1 p.m. The tractors will be on display around the Red Barn and attending the show is free with park admission. All members get in free, and all other guests will pay just $10 to enter the park that day...
