Office on Aging holds annual Thanksgiving luncheon

On Nov. 9, the Dyer County Office on Aging, located at 1400 Hornbrook in Dyersburg, held its annual Thanksgiving luncheon for members of the community who are senior citizens or disabled. Over 60 individuals were fed a meal consisting of Thanksgiving classics, such as turkey, dressing and all of the trimmings.

Court date reset for robbery, assault suspect

Cassandra Wallace, 31, of Dyersburg appeared before Dyer County Circuit Court Judge Lee Moore on Tuesday, November 20. Wallace has been incarcerated in the Dyer County Law Enforcement Complex since July 20, as she was charged with theft of property, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault by Dyersburg Police stemming from an incident on July 19.

Case for Allen’s Grocery robbery suspect reset for January

On Tuesday, November 20 at 11 a.m., Billy D. Walls, 27, of Hayti, Missouri, appeared before Dyer County Circuit Court Judge Lee Moore. Walls, who has been incarcerated at the Dyer County Law Enforcement Complex since August 23, was charged with especially aggravated robbery by Dyersburg Police, stemming from the robbery of Allen’s Grocery on Saturday, Aug. 4.
