Mr. William Harry Hummer, Sr. age, 93, of Dyersburg, Tn passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the West Tennessee Veteran's Home in Humboldt, Tn. Mr. Harry was born February 21, 1925 to the late William and Bessie Horner Hummer. He retired from Tennessee Department of Tourism as Regional West Director, he was a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ, manager of the Dyer County Fair, owner of the Bogota Cotton Gin, and member of the Bogota Hew Haw Prime Time Players. ...

Let It Glow lightshow comes to an end Sunday

With over a half-a-million Christmas lights on display, Discovery Park of America’s 3rd annual ‘Let it Glow’ light show, sponsored by the city of Union City, has welcomed numerous travelers and locals this holiday season. The ‘Let it Glow’ lightshow will be open to the public until Sunday, Dec. 30 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Admission to the event is $5 per car.

Agents seek identity of man and woman seen in surveillance video with missing Wartburg teenager

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - FBI and TBI Special Agents and Wartburg Police detectives continue searching for a missing East Tennessee teenager. Fourteen-year-old Bridgett Gordon left her home in Morgan County on Dec. 3. Investigators have tracked leads in several states. Agents recovered surveillance video putting the missing girl with an unknown man and woman at a Taco Bell in Dyersburg on or about Dec. 15.
