Sue Dean Johnson, 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. She was born on August 25, 1934, in McKenzie, TN, to the late Thomas Scoggin and the late Fay Scarbrough Scoggin. Sue was a retired teacher and coach of Dyersburg High School and was a 60 year member of First United Methodist Church. ...

TMSAA Sectional Tournament begins at Northview Saturday morning

Middle school teams from all over West Tennessee will converge on Newbern beginning this Saturday as Northview Middle School will host the TMSAA Section 3 Tournament for Class AA with both girls and boys action taking place at the school through Thursday.

Reoccurring findings appear in Lake County audit

Recently, the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office released Lake County’s annual audit, revealing reoccurring issues in the county’s governmental operations. The fiscal 2018 audit report included 9 findings, down 1 from the year prior, however 6 of the 9 issues were repeated from the 2017 report.

DMS boys advance to Blue Suede Tournament title game
