Glen Davis, 72, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Trinity Hospice House in Collierville, Tennessee after a yearlong battle with cancer. Born Thursday, November 14, 1946 in RoEllen, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Carl Davis and the late Mai Ellen Adkins Davis. He was a life-long farmer and owner/operator of Davis Trackhoe. Mr. Davis was a member of Newbern First Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the Tennessee National Guard for six years...

Dyersburg State plans reception to celebrate 50th anniversary

On June 13, 1967, an important decision was made which would ultimately change the lives of thousands of West Tennesseans. It was on this date that the Tennessee State Board of Education selected Dyersburg for the location of the second community college in West Tennessee. Dyersburg schools announce Hall of Honor class

Dyersburg City Schools recently announced the members of the 2019 Hall of Honor class, who are to be inducted Friday, April 5. The 2019 class consists of Judy Long, Daniel Davis, Jimmy Gale Welch, and Larry Williams. A ceremony to formally induct the four individuals will occur inside the Dyersburg High School atrium at 6 p.m. Family members and friends are invited to attend.
