Trojan players earn honors from Tennessee Baseball Report

Dyer County awarded grant for emergency food and shelter services

The National Board that is chaired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded funds to Dyer County in the amount of $17,602 to help support local emergency food and shelter services. Under the terms of the grant from the board, local agencies chosen to receive funds must be private voluntary nonprofits, be eligible to receive federal funds, have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs and have a voluntary board.. ...

Newbern Fire Department receives $2,500 donation

The Newbern Fire Department recently received a $2,500 donation from America’s Farmers Grow Communities on behalf of Dyer County Commissioner and local farmer, Rusty Grills. Funds will be used to purchase new training equipment for the department. DPD to hold community changers cook out Thursday
