Registration now open for Dot Foods’ 5th Annual Trivia Challenge for ALZ

On Thursday, July 25, from 6-8 p.m., Dot Foods-Dyersburg, located at 3200 Burks Place, will be hosting its 5th Annual Trivia Night Challenge for ALZ. The yearly fundraiser was started to honor late Dot Foods founder Robert Tracy, whose passing was directly correlated to the devastating disease.

DFD rescues individuals after tree falls on truck

On Sunday afternoon, June 23, the firefighters from Dyersburg Fire Department's Station 2 responded to a Parr Avenue residence where a tree had fallen on top of a pickup truck with 2 individuals inside. Responding firefighters on the scene cut and removed sections of the tree to rescue the individuals. There were no reported injuries to those who were inside the truck.

Bond set for man accused of sexual abuse, rape of a child

On June 14, Keith Edward Riggs, 49, of Fowlkes, was taken into custody by the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department on indictments out of Dyer County Circuit Court, issued on June 10, for rape of a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child.

DSCC EMT students take part in mock paramedic drill
