The TSSAA mandatory dead period does slow things down just a bit. It does give you time to think about things which you might not have time to once things kick up after the Independence Day break. After all, once July 8 gets here, my focus will stay on our high schools and middle schools as they run through the three-part TSSAA athletic year between then and, hopefully, late-May 2020...
