SNAP resource fair set for Sept. 9

According to the National Council on Aging, 3 out of 5 older Americans who qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps) are missing out on this benefit. Households with an older adult (60+) or a person with a disability could be eligible to deduct medical expenses beyond $35 per month from their gross income when applying for SNAP. ...

The Dyer County Litter Grant and Dyer Recycles appreciate those on board reminding us to be good stewards of our resources and good citizens of our city and county. Keep a bag in your car to stash the trash and dispose of it appropriately, not by throwing it out the window.
