The last two remaining middle school basketball seasons came to an end early this week as both the Northview boys and Three Oaks girls fell in the semifinals of the TMSAA West Sectional Basketball Tournament at Martin Middle School. Dyer County took a brief break from its District 13AAA final swing as the teams travelled to Lake County for a non-district doubleheader and returned with a pair of big wins over the hosting Lady Falcons and Falcons. The Lady Choctaws (20-5, 4-2) got things off to a dominating start, jumping out to a big lead early on the way to a 72-26 win over the Lake County girls. On Thursday, January 30, the Dyer County FFA Chapter hosted their annual Trivia Night at DCHS. The night consisted of fun, brain-teasing questions, a large variety of food and drinks, with a live and Chinese auction. Chapter Secretary Taylor Cantrell shared her perspective of Trivia Night, "I am so excited with how amazing our 'Trivia Night' went this year! I love seeing all the members of our school and community come together to support our chapter and play a competitive game of Trivia."
