Dyer County's Wells and Patterson sign with University of the Cumberlands

After accounting for over 4,000 yards combined offense during the Choctaws’ run to the Class 5A Semifinals this past November, Dyer County seniors LaQuinton Wells and Dain Patterson will take their talents to the Bluegrass State as the offensive duo signed with the University of the Cumberlands on Tuesday afternoon at Dyer County High School.

Choctaws complete sweep of regular season District 13AAA slate

For the second straight season, the Dyer County boys finished the regular season run through the District 13AAA schedule with an unblemished mark as the Choctaws claimed a 77-48 win over Liberty on Tuesday night in Newbern to finish 8-0 as the regular season district champions.

Walker Holden

Dyersburg Moose donates items to Tennessee Homeless Solutions Day One Shelter

The Dyersburg Moose Lodge #441 collected various items that were donated to the Tennessee Homeless Solutions/Day One Shelter of Dyer County on Friday, January 31. Items such as clothing, food, sleeping bags and personal hygiene items were among some of the items that were donated. Amy McDonald, THS Executive Director, stated they were very appreciative of all the items that the Dyersburg Moose donated. Dyersburg Moose Lodge #441 would like to thank THS for what they do in the community and to keep up the great work! Hee Haw show raises $2500 for Carl Perkins Center in Newbern
