Jayroe clears walking trail at river park

A local man has revived the nature trail in downtown Dyersburg. Andy Jayroe, over the previous three months, has cleared the Forked Deer River Trail, located at the Forked Deer River Park, for all in the community to enjoy. Jayroe has spent countless hours manually clearing the trail, all while only using various hand tools, and has done so by himself.

Farmers market hits home run opening day

What a beautiful morning it was for the opening of the Main Street Farmers Market in downtown Dyersburg, located at 335 Clark St. at the Forked Deer River Park, on Saturday morning, June 13. Man indicted on second-degree murder charge dies at hospital

A Dyersburg man indicted by the Dyer County Grand Jury on multiple charges died at Jackson County General Hospital on Saturday, June 13. Jerry Joyner, 61, was arrested on Tuesday, June 9 after being indicted for second-degree murder along with several other charges.
