Drive-up COVID-19 testing to resume at health department

The Tennessee Department of Health West Tennessee Regional Office announced drive-up COVID-19 testing will resume Thursday, June 18, at the Dyer County Health Department, located at 1755 Parr Ave. The regional office noted they would be able to deploy a National Guard team to the Dyer County Health Department to assist in the testing. Dyer County experiences increase in COVID-19 cases

Since the beginning of June, Dyer County has experienced an increase of COVID-19 cases, according to numbers reported daily by the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH). From June 1 to June 17, the total number of COVID-19 cases, consisting of confirmed and probable cases, has grown from 52 to 116 in Dyer County and statewide numbers have increased from 22,566 to 32,143, reported by the TDH.
