DDCAC awards two arts scholarship recipients for 2020

TBI releases 2019 Crime in Tennessee report

This week the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) released its 2019 Crime In Tennessee report, detailing the volume and nature of criminals from across the state. The TBI’s CJIS Support Center complies and publishes the report based upon crime statistics submitted by all law enforcement agencies across the state, including local law enforcement agencies such as the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office, Dyersburg Police Department, Newbern Police Department, and Trimble Police Department. All information listed in the report is from 2019.

Dyersburg Dixie Boys to host state tournament

Despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as a shortened season in many ways for the local Dixie Boys Baseball league, a yearly tradition for the Dyersburg Dixie Youth organization is scheduled to continue in a couple weeks as the Ed Wright Baseball Complex will host Dixie Boys State Tournaments in July.
