Dyersburg School Board reviews policies, approves 2021-22 school calendar

The Dyersburg School Board convened Monday evening, October 2, inside the project room of Dyersburg High School for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The board reviewed numerous items of new business, such as the proposed 2021-2022 school calendar and school updates, as well as a review of policies.

Dyer County COVID-19 update for November 3

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Tuesday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 2,440 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 269 active cases with 2,085 recoveries/inactive cases.

Dyersburg Board agrees to appeal FEMA report, OKs beer permits

On Monday evening at 7 p.m., the Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened via teleconference for their regularly scheduled meeting. Board members heard four items of new business including public hearings pertaining to beer permits, the approval of the attorney invoice, and a review of bids as well as the minutes from the Local Government Committee meeting held Oct. 28. Just as the committee did on Oct. 28, the full board voted on Monday to appeal the FEMA flood insurance rate map and report.
