Dyersburg woman indicted for aggravated child abuse

On September 4, the Dyersburg Police Department was notified by the Tennessee Department of Children Serves concerning a 6-month-old infant suffering from injuries. Following an investigation by the Department of Children Services and Dyersburg detectives, the case was presented to the Dyer County Grand Jury on October 12. Precious Lindsley, AKA Precious Nicole Brown, 23, of Dyersburg, was indicted and a capias was issued for her arrest for a charge of aggravated child abuse.

Dyer County COVID-19 update for November 6

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Friday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 2,505 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 239 active cases with 2,227 recoveries/inactive cases.

TSSAA places Dyersburg, Dyer County in same district in multiple sports

Many sports fans have waited on the day when teams from Dyersburg and Dyer County would be able to renew their rivalry in all sports. Play between the two rivals stopped in 2010, leaving the student athletes as well as respective supporters of both schools wondering if and when they would face each other again.
