Dyer County COVID-19 update for December 29

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Tuesday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 4,172 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 330 active cases with 3,772 recoveries/inactive cases.

DMS shoots past USJ in Dot Foods Tournament

Playing for the first time in about two weeks, the DMS girls continued their winning ways on Tuesday in the first game of the second day of the Dot Foods Christmas Tournament as the Lady Trojans (11-0) got off to a slow start before hitting seven three-pointers on the way to a 42-34 win over the University School of Jackson in the Terry Glover Gymnasium.

Sandra Gail Tucker, 75, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Sandra was born on April 15, 1945, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Clyde and Nora Lucas Ozment. She was a retired bookkeeper for Tucker Tire.
