DSCC EMT and AEMT classes achieve 100 percent pass rate with no retests

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Advanced EMT (AEMT) students at Dyersburg State Community College received a 100% first-time pass rate on the EMT Basic State Psychomotor Exam and the AEMT National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Psychomotor Exam, respectively. DSCC to host new student orientation virtually for spring semester students

Dyer County COVID-19 update for January 4

With the release of the Tennessee Department of Health’s (TDH) daily COVID-19 update on Monday, the department reported Dyer County as having a total of 4,368 COVID-19 cases, which consist of confirmed and probable cases. Additionally, the TDH said that Dyer County had 386 active cases with 3,910 recoveries/inactive cases.

DPD arrests man suspected of rape, bond set at $100K

On Sunday, January 3, 2021, Dyersburg Police arrested Michael Williams, 33, of Dyersburg on multiple charges, including a charge of aggravated rape. Williams appeared in Dyersburg City Court on Monday, January 4 and was issued a $100,000 bond.
