Mother Nature returns with second round of winter weather

After a winter storm hit Dyer County late last week, local residents have been bracing for Mother Nature’s second round of winter weather, which began Sunday night continuing through Monday. An estimated 1-2 inches of snow and sleet fell across the county Sunday night/early Monday morning, and with numerous projections reporting Dyer County could see 5-10 inches of snow Monday, road crews for Dyersburg and Dyer County are preparing for the possible battle ahead.

Dyersburg Rec Committee hears pickleball court request from Rotary

The Dyersburg Recreation Committee convened on February 12 at 1 p.m. at the Dyersburg Activity Center to hear a request from the Dyersburg Rotary Club for construction of pickleball courts at Okeena Park as well as discuss spring sports at the city-owned activity centers.

Federal pharmacy partnership expands access to COVID-19 vaccination in TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee will see expanding access to COVID-19 vaccination with the launch of a new federal retail pharmacy program. The first phase of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program for COVID-19 Vaccination will launch in Tennessee February 12, with select pharmacies offering vaccinations in accordance with the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan.
