Don't overlook pets that are older or need special care. Often these sweet babies have had hard lives or have lost their homes through no fault of their own. Mr. Ernest Emanual Blalock, age 98, of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at Harborview Nursing Center. He was born August 30, 1922 in Dyersburg to the late Lloyd & Minnie Blalock. He was a long-time painter by trade, working with other family members and he proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. 112 teens spend weekend duck hunting at 13th Annual Youth Waterfowl Hunt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In duck blinds across northwest Tennessee, 112 teens had the opportunity to experience world-class duck hunting—many for the first time—at the 13th Annual Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt Feb. 5-6. The weekend remembers Davis Rice through his favorite pastime and fosters an appreciation for wildlife conservation. Rice tragically passed away in 2007.

Tennessee to begin COVID-19 vaccination of adults age 65 and older, teachers

Tennessee will begin registering Tennesseans aged 65 and older and those in Phase 1b of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan COVID-19 for vaccinations on Feb. 22. Phase 1b includes staff members of kindergarten through 12th grade schools and child care facilities.
