Court of Appeals upholds Circuit Court’s ruling of Dyersburg Pension Plan

Following an appeal of the December 12, 2019 Dyersburg Pension Plan ruling made by Dyer County Circuit Judge Lee Moore, the Western District Court of Appeals in Jackson on March 2, 2021 upheld Judge Moore’s decision ruling in favor of the City of Dyersburg.

Local business owner, juvenile in custody on aggravated robbery charge following store theft

A local business owner and a 17-year-old juvenile were taken into custody by Dyersburg Police Tuesday night after reportedly apprehending a Dyersburg man who allegedly stole a pack of cigars from the business owner’s establishment.

On Monday evening, March 8, the Dyer County Legislative Body convened for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Items on the agenda included fulfilling the vacant Dyer County School Board District F position, approval of a farm lease agreement, and appointment of Ag Committee members. Additionally, prior to the CLB the Recreation and Fire committees met.
