DPD arrests local man on aggravated assault, firearm charges

Early Saturday morning, May 8, Dyersburg Police arrested a local man on charges of aggravated assault and felon in possession of a handgun. The individual taken into custody was Jonathan Robinson, 44, of Dyersburg.

Traffic stop leads to arrest of Dyersburg man for drug, weapon possession

Following a traffic stop Friday afternoon, May 7, Dyersburg Police arrested a local man on various charges, including weapon and drug possession. Erik Fields, 41, of Dyersburg was taken into custody and charged with felon in possession of a firearm, alteration of serial numbers, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession with intent to sell.

AAA: TN gas prices rise three cents

NASHVILLE, Tenn., — After holding steady last week, gas prices in Tennessee rose three cents, on average, over the last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $2.72 which is 3 cents more than one month ago and $1.12 more than one year ago. “The shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline late last week will likely have implications on both gasoline supply and prices in Tennessee, and those could happen as early as this week,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA - The Auto Club Group. ...
