Dyersburg man arrested on false report charge

A Dyersburg man was recently arrested on a charge of filing a false police report. According to the Dyersburg Police Department, Kevin J. Byrd, 30, allegedly created a story of being beaten up and robbed by multiple men on two occasions.

Sells, Brandon plead not guilty to stalking charge

At an arraignment hearing for Darrell Sells and Chasity Brandon — both indicted by the Dyer County Grand Jury — Monday afternoon in Dyer County Circuit Court, District Attorney General Danny Goodman, Jr. announced he would be recusing himself from the case. In addition, to Circuit Court Judge Lee Moore also recused himself from the case.

DPD seeks information regarding shooting incident on Wheeler

The Dyersburg Police Department is seeking the public’s help regarding a shooting incident, reportedly occurring on Wheeler St. in the morning hours of June 18. According to a release from the DPD, a residence was struck multiple times by gunfire.
